In the early 90’s I chose my side on the console divide and went with Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive. I could of went with Mario, but Sonic seemed newer, faster and more edgy than an overweight, slow, mustached Italian. I’ve never looked back. My first experience with Sonic was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. That game was a turning point for me as it was the first time I liked a video game more than the toys I had in the real world. From there I went back and played through Sonic the Hedgehog, the first one. I then got Sonic 3, a great game except for that damn barrel (if you’ve played it you’ll know what I’m talking about) and I remember actually having lucid dreams of playing Sonic & Knuckles shortly before its release. I used to wake up, run over to my Megadrive and suddenly remember that I didn’t actually have it yet. Read the rest of this entry »

I have to admit, I’m no longer a member of the MTV generation. In fact I can’t even remember the last time I watched a music channel on TV. The idea of letting somebody else govern what music I should listen to seems bizarre to me, especially considering the wealth of sites out there that will let you listen to whatever music you like, whenever you like.

So first off, how do you find new music?
