Right now you are saying “What? How can he find escalators a little pleasure?”. Well here’s why. Being educated as an engineer I tend to look at things and see their functionality first. I’d say I’m largely against the ideal of “form before function” in that I’d rather have a candle on my mantle then a functionless statue. At least the candle is functional and already in place should the power go out, it also has form that is appealing but does not outweigh its function.

I recently completely updated my blog to the magazine-style theme you see now (or at least should if you are viewing this in March, 09). Previously I had a Super Mario Theme, which, even though I loved it, I felt was pigeon holing me in regards to what I could write about, namely as it was a gamer theme I should really be writing about games and gaming technology. Sometimes I don’t want to talk about games, I just want to play them and be done with it.

People take photos to remember the times when they are standing still. In my opinion, people listen to music to remember the times when they where moving.

I felt like writing a post about my interest in building PC’s. I’ve a feeling, much like those individuals who used to build their own customized radios, that it’s a dying hobby. The reason for this being that the gap between the cost of a pre-made PC and one you built yourself is narrowing significantly. [...]
