Stumbling

Jan 19th, 2009 | By | Category: Tech and the Net

I have a few posts as drafts at the moment, but I won’t get them out today so I thought I’d post what I’ve been finding interesting on stumbleupon for the last while, remember to stumble the pages you like:

Earth, observed: Satellite photos of Earth. Pictures like this never fail to make me feel how small I actually am.

419 Scam: I know I shouldn’t laugh, as this guy has ruined his life, but how does this happen? Not only did he fall for it, but so did all his family? Why didn’t he even get a lawyer to verify it was legit?

Tintin: Insanest of the Insane: Hilarious look at an old Tintin comic strip.

HavenWorks.com: I shouldn’t really be giving this site the traffic, but I can’t resist. It has to be the worst designed webpage ever. It’s like someone shot the page with a double barrel shotgun of primary colors and default fonts. I suppose I should be glad its not in comic sans :D

Desert Bus: A game for all those people who don’t want kids playing violent video games ;)

Padlock USB key: Pretty cool and innovative idea.

The American Form of Government: Interesting video on Democracy and what it really is.

Startup Delayer: Really cool application that I’ve just started using myself in Vista. It lets you set the startup time of applications at boot up, rather than letting the OS trying to load everything at once. The only thing I need at startup is the button mappings on my mouse, so I’ve set everything else to have a start up that’s staggered. With some applications only starting a good 20 minutes after I’ve booted.

Yahoo! Answers – Bebo Profile Names: Hilarious response to a question asked on Yahoo! Answers

Faceball: Great idea for a game, that can be played anywhere, and doesn’t require batteries.
