Bit of a belated update. Haven’t really been watching much of anything lately except for Star Trek: TNG so didn’t feel like doing a synopsis of each episode of such an old show. Anyway here’s what I’ve been watching.

Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season 1: Just finished season 1 of Star Trek. A [...]

Rotten Tomatoes: Battle for Terra review

May 14th, 2009 | By leimrod | Category: Media

Recently I expressed my excitement at the release of this new CGI space epic, which, from the premise and teaser trailers looked like it could be excellent. Recently I felt let down with Monsters vs. Aliens, and had a couple of laughs watching Bolt so I was really hoping for a CGI movie to bring back the glory days of Toy Story or Shrek. Alas, it looks like this movie won’t. Watch the review after the jump that is hardly glowing.

Movies to Games can work: Wolverine

Not really a review as such, more a mark of surprise. After finishing Killzone 2, I installed Fallout 3, resolved to get around to it (just can’t bring myself to play it for some reason, probably because I already know how much time I’ll need to plough into it) and also decided to polish up my Akuma combos in Street Fighter IV. I like to always have a backup game installed on the HTPC, just for something different. It will usually be games I’d consider mediocre or not receiving a lot of media attention so that I can see if they are diamonds in the rough. These games will usually be movie-to-game conversions.

One to watch: Battle for Terra

Just caught wind of this new 3D CGI movie coming out in the next few weeks (release date in the U.S is May 1st) I have to say I am a bit of a CGI aficionado, and after seeing Bolt in 3D on the big screen recently I’m a convert and finally have a reason to leave my comfy home entertainment set up behind and go to the Cinema.

Usually a movie just being CGI alone will give me reason to see it (I tend to like the details in the graphics more than the plot) but this movie actually has a fairly interesting premise.
